SMTH Testing and Signalling Maintenance

SMTH Testing is the "like for like renewal" or the renewal of operationally specific equipment on the Network Rail Signalling Infrastructure, along with the disconnection and re-connection of signalling equipment and associated cabling.

SMTH is also an integral part of maintaining and faulting the operational network as well as playing a vital role in the necessary on-going programme of track renewals.

All Eldin  SMTH Team Leaders have extensive experience in leading and managing faulting & maintenance sections on the operational network for companies such as Network Rail, Jarvis Rail and Balfour Beatty Rail Maintenance Ltd.

Eldin delivers a more personal approach within privately owned Train care depots, Power Stations and Dock areas, ensuring maintenance delivery at scheduled time intervals.

SMTH plays vital role in the disconnection and subsequent reconnection of signalling equipment within challenging time restraints to allow for the delivery of Network Rail’s ongoing track renewals programme.   Eldin can provide key support to new and innovative projects such as the High Output Ballast Cleaner or high profile station remodelling projects.

Eldin’s SMTH trained staff are all individually licensed with the IRSE Licensed to category 1.4.160 (Signalling Maintenance Tester) and supported by 24hr on call manager.

Eldin currently operate an extensive Authority to Work competence structure, to ensure full compliance to the Network Rail Group Standards.
